Weirton Christmas Parade

The Annual Weirton Christmas Parade, organized by the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce was held on Saturday, November 28. While the parade lasted a little more than an hour, many months of detailed planning was needed to put on a live televised event. A special Thank you to our parade sponsors: First Choice America Community FCU, Nick’s Auto Sales, Tri-State Audiology, and Weirton Medical Center. We would also like to thank the parade judges, Marisa Shreve, Diane Wiegmann and Gloria Jerrel. The Chamber is pleased to announce the following entry winners:

Congratulations to Weirton Collision Center and Dominos Pizza. In addition to receiving their first place trophy, they are also the first recipients of the new Traveling Trophy which they will keep for one year! All trophies can be picked up at the Chamber office, located at 3174 Pennsylvania Avenue.   
 
This year, 9 professional floats were included in the parade. The Chamber would like to thank Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home and James White Construction for sponsoring the Grand Marshal Float, The Weirton Daily Times and The Herald Star for sponsoring the Make-A-Wish Float, Starvaggi Charities for sponsoring the Weirton Christian Center Float, and The Estate and Elder Planning Center and Attorney Pam Smoljanovich for sponsoring the Santa Float. In addition to sponsoring the Santa Float, the Chamber would like to thank The Estate & Elder Planning Center and Pam Smoljanovich for the generous gift of toys that they passed out along the parade route in lieu of candy.
