Good afternoon Community Members,
We are excited to prepare for the 2023 backpack and supply giveaway event in August. This year’s event will take place at the Millsop Center from 11am-2pm. Set up will be from 10am-10:45am for all attending agencies. Pre-registered attendees will have first access to supplies from 11am-12 pm. General attendees will be let in from appx. 12:15-2 pm.
We understand this is a wonderful opportunity for your agency to recruit and inform the community about your services. In order to better serve the community and our community partners, our committee will be supplying backpacks for attendees. We are asking that agencies provide school supplies at their booths this year. We will fill in gaps in supplies through any donations we receive. We have seen the successes of this method in neighboring events and feel that agencies have more opportunity to engage with community members in this format. Please fill out the google form to indicate what supplies your agency will be providing. As we understand the financial burden of this method, there is no mandatory minimum or maximum supply count or registration fee for your agency to attend this year’s event. Because of this, we may have several agencies giving out the same supply so that all participants can receive that supply (We want to have at least 600 of each supply). To avoid grouping, we recommend providing at least 600 of your chosen supply to give out the day of the event. The supply choice is first come, first serve. We will assign your agency to the second (or third) choice supply if your first choice is already taken by another agency so that we will have a variety of supplies to distribute. We will let you know as soon as possible which supply you have been assigned (within 1 week). Please fill out the google form below to select your supply choice.
If your agency would like to be a sponsor of this event, the details are attached in a letter below, as well as a tax receipt for records.

**We do apologize for the confusion. We are looking to serve 750 children this year, not the previously stated 600. 750 is also the number on the google form for supplies and the expectant number of children based on last year’s event. Again, you are not required to supply 750 items to attend.
Please fill out form below to register for participation as an information vendor in the 2023 Backpack and Resource Fair.
This year, we are asking vendors to supply school supplies at their booth for direct distribution to community members. We find that this approach allows you to connect with community members to better meet the recruitment and outreach needs of your agency. We are looking to serve 750 children this year. If your agency cannot supply 750 items, please indicate how many supplies your agency can supply at your booth so that we know how to best meet the 750 quota per school supply. We will adapt the list as vendors choose their supplies on a first come, first served basis. We will be in contact with you to confirm upon registration. There is no vendor fee this year due to this change.
