Brooke Hancock Regional Broadband Project

Brooke and Hancock County Commission is working with Magellan Advisors, a leading specialized consultancy, on a plan to develop broadband in Brooke and Hancock counties. Better broadband is critical for our region. We need your input to make this plan successful. Please, join us on January 13-15 for group discussions about broadband development. Please see the attachment for your scheduled group time and location.

If you are unable to make your scheduled time please contact me directly to make other arrangements.

The purpose of this meeting is to understand what better broadband would mean to your organization and how it could support sustainable economic prosperity for our region. Your input will go directly into our plan.

We also request that you complete a broadband survey for each of your facilities in Brooke and Hancock County. For those facilities with internet access, please complete the survey on-site on a computer directly connected to your network, not via Wi-Fi. You can complete the online survey for facilities without internet access from any location. We can also provide an off-line version of the survey instrument for those who don’t have internet access.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly or contact Greg Laudeman, Magellan Advisors’ project manager for our plan, via email glaudeman@magellanadvisors.com or phone 706-271-5521.

The Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary, non-profit partnership of business and professional people working together towards a common goal — to build a healthy economy and to improve the quality of life in our community. The business of the Chamber is to enable its members to do TOGETHER what they might not be able to do individually.
